Canada’s Aritzia Arrives in New York

While many retailers, such as Target, are eyeing Canada, Canadian retailer Aritzia is expanding in the U.S. The vertically integrated multi-label retailer has opened a temporary location on Broadway and Spring Street, with a permanent 10,000-square-foot bi-level space planned for May, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Aritzia targets women age 18 to 35 with eight proprietary brands such as Wilfred and A Moveable Feast. Outside labels are also available at its stores.

Aritzia operates 48 stores, including stores in Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Ore., Seattle and Short Hills, N.J.
