Caribou Coffee to Grow in Atlanta

Caribou Coffee expects to open 100 new stores throughout Atlanta, says Mike Tattersfield, ceo of the Brooklyn Center, Minn.-based company.

The coffee chain currently operates 11 locations in the Atlanta market.

“Atlanta is a great market. I have a lot of faith in it,” says Tattersfield in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It's not a big store base right now. But Atlanta is really our anchor for expansion in the southeast of the United States.”

He adds that expanding the brand in Atlanta might promote growth in northern Florida and parts of North Carolina, as well.
