STORE OPENING
Casual Male Retail Group Inc. (Canton, Mass.) opened a 12,082-square-foot Destination XL (DXL), a men's superstore catering to the big and tall man, in Atlanta. Casual Male Retail Group operates 454 Casual Male XL retail and outlet stores, 19 Rochester Clothing stores and four Destination DXL stores.

Tile manufacturer Crossville Inc. (Crossville, Tenn.) achieved certification of its waste recycling programs through Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), an independent third-party certifier of recycled claims, after joining with sustainable plumbing products manufacturer TOTO (Morrow, Ga.) to recycle the company’s pre-consumer fired sanitary ware.
Design and fabrication company Dillon Works! Inc. (Mukilteo, Wash.) completed the candy-themed furnishings for the newly renovated café and party room on the upper level of Dylan’s Candy Bar (New York). The café features gigantic cupcake banquettes in pink, purple, yellow and blue, which seat private parties of eight to 10 people. Smaller groups can sit at gumball-inspired tables, with coordinating chairs in marshmallow white.
Vista, Calif.-based Solatube International Inc., manufacturer and marketer of Tubular Daylighting Devices (TDDs), is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The company says it invented TDDs, which harvest and distribute daylight in homes and commercial buildings.
