Charming Shoppes Inc. (Bensalem, Pa.) has named new presidents for two of its divisions.
Lorna Nagler has been promoted to president of Lane Bryant and Diane Paccione has joined the company as president of Catherine's Plus Sizes.
These executives will be responsible for leading their respective retail brands, including merchandising, marketing, stores and operations, reporting to chairman, ceo and president Dorrit Bern.
Nagler will be based at Lane Bryant's Columbus, Ohio, headquarters, and Paccione at Catherine's Memphis headquarters.
Charming Shoppes also announced that Diane Missel, who had served as president of Lane Bryant, has left the company.
Prior to joining Charming Shoppes as president of Catherine's Plus Sizes in 2002, Nagler was senior vp, gmm, for the apparel division at Kmart Corp. (Troy, Mich.). Her previous posts include merchandising responsibilities for national chains Kids 'R Us and Montgomery Ward. Earlier in her career, Nagler was a divisional merchandise manager at Lane Bryant.
Paccione joins Charming Shoppes from Sears, Roebuck and Co. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) where, during an eight-year stint, she held the position of general merchandise manager of intimate apparel and was later promoted to vp, gmm. of ready-to-wear and intimate apparel. She began her 25-year retail career at Bloomingdale's, and later joined the May Co., where she was vp, dmm.
