Chico’s Names Two New Operations VPs

Chico’s FAS Inc. (Fort Myers, Fla.) has announced that Susan Powers, formerly director of stores at Wet Seal Inc. (Foothill Ranch, Calif.), will join the specialty retailer in January 2005 as vp, store operations.

Reporting to Mori MacKenzie, evp, chief stores officer, Powers will be responsible for all aspects of store support and store administrative operations at the corporate level for all of the company’s brands.

Prior to her stint at Wet Seal, Powers was vp, retail operations, for BCBG (Vernon, Calif.). She has also has held regional director of stores positions with Bath and Body Works (Columbus, Ohio), Garden Botanika (Redmond, Wash.) and Bon Ton Stores (York, Pa.).

Also joining Chico’s is Rod Olson, as vp, operations, for White House | Black Market. Olson was a partner in his own retail consulting firm.
