Coming Home, Turn Down the Lights

The Home Depot (Atlanta) has named former energy official Francis Blake as executive vp, strategy, business development and corporate operations, effective March 21, 2002. Blake replaces Dennis Carey, who will be leaving the retailer after four years of service. Blake joins the company from the federal government, where he served as deputy secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

“Frank has an outstanding track record of building and developing world class performance in both the public and private sectors,” said Home Depot , chairman, president and ceo Bob Nardelli. “He brings a depth of strategic and business development experience that will be important as we continue to grow and expand.”
