COVID-19: Best Buy to Furlough 51K Employees

Starting April 19, Best Buy (Richfield, Minn.) will furlough 51,000 hourly employees.

While nearly all part-time employees will be furloughed, 82 percent of full-time employees will remain on payroll, reports Retail Dive.

The company will continue to offer health benefits to furloughed employees but will suspend its 401(k) matching program.
