Crate & Barrel (Northbrook, IL) has promoted three of its executives, including the leader of its VM teams, who’s now charged with metaverse oversight.
Sebastian Brauer, who joined the housewares brand in 2018, has been named Senior Vice President for Product Design, Development and Metaverse. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the product design, development and VM teams, and will also take on responsibility for the brand’s metaverse and web3 strategies.
“My passion leading teams to enable transformation – especially by bridging the physical and digital worlds through design thinking, collaboration and creativity – will allow us to explore new mediums, dimensions and technology to effectively introduce [Crate & Barrel Holdings] to a new, modern and experiential marketplace,” Brauer said.
Alicia Waters, who previously served as Chief Marketing Officer, has been named Executive Vice President for Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving various strategies, including marketing, retail operations and employee engagement.
Joan King, who joined the company in 2001 and previously served as Senior Vice President of E-Commerce and International, was named Executive Vice President of Digital and International Growth. She will continue to lead and build the digital vision across all brands and also lead the company’s international expansion into new markets this year.
