Crew Gains

J.Crew Group Inc. (New York) has reporred a 17 percent gain in revenues for its second quarter ended July 29, 2006.

Store sales (retail and factory) increased 21 percent and same-store sales increased 16 percent.

“We are pleased with our second quarter results, and look forward to building on the new foundation we have created for J.Crew Group,” said chairman and ceo Millard Drexler. “Our team is focused on driving productivity across all areas of the business, and we are confident about our near and long-term prospects.”

For the six months ended July 29, Crew – which completed an initial public offering in July by selling 21.6 million shares for $402.3 million – reported a 16 percent gain in revenues, 18 percent gain in retail sales and 24 percent gain in same-store sales.
