MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Columbus, Ohio-based design firm Big Red Rooster promoted executive vp Dan Stanek to head the firm’s office in Columbus, Ohio. The company also hired the following people to its Atlanta Office: Mona Elsohly, senior graphic designer; Derek Hambrick, information designer; Lyn Kotarski, production artist; George Mosley, production artist; and Michael Perez, graphic designer. New hires to its Columbus office include: Mason Miller, graphic designer; Shannon Raymond, marketing coordinator; Brian Silver, vp; and Becki Spiert, travel and hospitality manager. At its Phoenix Office, the company added: Chad Brossman, project manager and architect; Justin Leuth, project manager; and administrative assistant Sadie Thomas.

Chute Gerdeman (Columbus, Ohio) is expanding its studio with the following new employees: Kathleen Allen, designer, brand communications and Maureen Capretta designer, retail environments.

Cincinnati-based FRCH Design Worldwide recently named a new vp and promoted 10 staff members. Tricia Downing was named vp in the firm’s specialty architecture studio. In addition, the following promotions were made: Kelli Lear, director of graphic design in the hospitality studio; Mike Keifling, director of architecture in the hospitality studio; Doug Williams, director of architecture in the retail and mixed-use studio; Matthew Davison, director of technology; Aaron Ruef, associate director of graphic design in the specialty retail studio; Darryl Eam, senior project leader, specialty architecture studio; Eric Phelan, senior project leader in the specialty architecture studio; Nicole McDevitt, senior project leader, specialty architecture studio; Nick Azbell, senior project coordinator in the retail and mixed-use studio; and Mike Ruehlman, senior designer, graphic design in the specialty retail studio

West Caldwell, N.J.-based MaxLite named Douglas Kruse to south central region sales manager. MaxLite is a global manufacturer and marketer of MaxLED LED luminaires and lamps.

Chippenhook (Lewisville, Texas) has promoted Paul Dietz to executive vp and Johnathan Sanders to vp, sales and marketing.

Storefloors (Atlanta) has added Gary Setchfield as account manager

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Dazian LLC (South Hackensack, N.J.) has acquired San Diego-based DreamWorld Backdrops. DreamWorld brings its expertise in air brushed, hand painted and digitally printed backdrops to the theatrical fabrics company.

Italian lighting design company Flos announces the inclusion of the Wallpiercing installation by New York-based artist and designer Ron Gilad in the upcoming exhibition, “Rethinking Typologies: Architecture and Design from the Permanent Collection,” at the Art Institute of Chicago, from March 3 – July 29, 2012. Wallpiercing is part of Flos’ soft architecture collection.

Grand + Benedicts (Portland, Ore.) added a construction division to enhance the retail fixture manufacturer’s existing services supplying stock and custom fixtures, installations and store closing services. With a new construction division, G+B will supply retail store operations with everything they need to open up shop from the ground up.

Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group (Carthage, Mo.) is integrating the Beeline Group, a designer and manufacturer of merchandising and display solutions and a fellow unit of Leggett & Platt, Inc., into its global operations. In addition, Leggett & Platt SFG will open a sourcing and quality control office in Shanghai, China that will report directly to the Beeline Group’s p-o-p, agency, marketing and innovation teams.
