Destination Maternity Ends Department Store Partnerships

Destination Maternity (Philadelphia) announced that it is ending partnerships with three department store chains: it’s Two Hearts line at Sears (Hoffman Estates, Ill.), Oh Baby by Motherhood at Kohl’s (Menomonee Falls, Wis.), and its leased department relationship with Gordmans (Omaha, Neb.).

The partnership with Gordmans ends this month; its Sears partnership will expire in June, and its exclusive license with Kohl’s will discontinue in early fiscal 2017.

The retailer is in the midst of a turnaround effort to improve business and issued a “cautiously optimistic” outlook regarding how those efforts are faring, reports Chain Store Age.
