Nokia (Espoo, Finland) has opened its first flagship store, in the Pushkin Square district of Moscow.
The flagship is the first of several the global mobile communications brand plans to open in major shopping destinations around the world over the next couple of years. However, the company has not yet revealed specific sites for the other stores.
The Moscow flagship features an array of multimedia effects and interactive kiosks.
“Through an innovative retail experience like the new flagship stores, Nokia aims to inspire and educate consumers to the benefits of mobility and broaden the appeal of our brand. It is a place for discovery and entertainment,” said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, the company's president and coo. “Whether it is demonstrating the features and capabilities of our latest multimedia smartphone or assisting a consumer with their mobile e-mail settings, we want to offer a relaxing, interactive environment for consumers to truly experience the power of mobility.”
