The National Retail Federation, recently completing its 96th annual Convention and EXPO in New York, added 10 new members to its board of directors.
The newly-elected members, each for a three-year term, include: Ralph Alvarez, president and chief operating officer, McDonald’s Corp. (Oak Brook, Ill.); Claudio Del Vecchio, chairman and ceo, Retail Brand Alliance (Enfield, Conn.); Robert DiNicola, chairman and ceo, Linens ‘n Things Inc. (Clifton, N.J.); Roger Farah, president and coo, Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (New York); George Jones, president and ceo, Borders Group Inc. (Ann Arbor, Mich.); Michael Rousseau, president, Hudson’s Bay Co. (Toronto); Carl Rubin, president, North American retail, Office Depot Inc. (Delray Beach, Fla.); Philip Schoonover, ceo, Circuit City Stores Inc. (Richmond, Va.); and James Wright, president and ceo, Tractor Supply Co. (Brentwood, Tenn.); and Jan de Jong, worldwide global industry manager, retail, Microsoft Corp. (Redmond, Wash.).
