Domenico Vacca Opens 10-Story Flagship

Domenico Vacca (New York) has opened a 10-story flagship store in New York’s midtown neighborhood at 15 W. 55th St. The store not only offers the designer’s men’s, women’s and accessories collections but a slew of other amenities such as an Italian espresso bar, a salon and barber shop, and a rooftop terrace available as part of a private club that will also operate as a venue for fashion shows and other private events.

The goal behind the flagship is to “create an experience” that would draw customers to visit for more than just shopping, reports Fashion Times. “I started thinking about what is really the future of fashion and fashion retail. Online is pretty big, and people are changing their way of shopping, so for somebody who still loves to have a real store where people come and interact with the brand, the point was what should we do to make it interesting,” Vacca said.
