Dunkin’ Donuts Expanding in Indiana

Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. (Canton, Mass.) announced Wednesday it will open 46 new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Indiana in the next few years, more than doubling its current roster of 30 stores.

Locations have not been determined, but company officials said they would likely be comprised of a mix of existing properties and new construction, according to the IndyStar.

“We certainly see our fair share of national and global competitors in that market,” said Steve Rafferty, senior director of franchising for Dunkin' Brands. “When we compare what we see in other markets, we know that there's room for us to compete there.”

Dunkin' Donuts is pushing to more than double the number of locations nationally from 8000 to about 17,500 in coming years.
