Edge Capital Holdings Acquires Two Kansas City Companies

InStore Design Display (IDD) and Clear Impact Acrylics (CIA) announced today the sale of the companies’ assets to Edge Capital Holdings effective August 1, 2016. Randy Edge, owner of Edge Capital Holdings will serve as President and CEO of the newly consolidated companies.

InStore Design Display (formerly National Equipment Company) has been a national and international provider of store fixtures and retail displays for more than 100 years. In recent years, IDD’s InStore Innovation Group has expanded the company’s focus in the leading edge custom display market. IDD designs, manufactures and delivers custom retail displays and provides fulfilment services for clients such as Sprint, Bayer Animal Health, and Vista Outdoors – owners of the Bushnell, Serengeti Eyewear and Bolle brands. Clear Impact Acrylics was formed in 2004 to manufacture and assemble plastic display fixtures. CIA is known for its high quality products and ability to deliver with short timelines. Under the new ownership, CIA will maintain its independent brand as a business unit within IDD.

Edge takes over from former owner and CEO Ed Redhair, who is retiring. Redhair has been instrumental in guiding the company through decades of success. He assembled and led a highly effective team of people dedicated to quality,  creativity, and innovation. “I’m thrilled to be handing off our business to Randy as the new CEO and owner of IDD and CIA,” said Redhair. “We saw the sale as a way to secure the future for our employees and the legacy of our company. Randy brings a wealth of business knowledge, as well as a background in engineering, to the position. I’m confident that he will help the company grow to new heights and continue our long-standing commitment to exceeding the expectations of our customers.”

As the former CEO of Citizens Bank NA of Fort Scott, KS, Edge brings significant experience in business and finance to the growing companies. His training as an engineer, work in the aerospace manufacturing industry and as a management consultant with Ernst & Young have prepared him well for this role. “IDD and CIA are businesses positioned for growth. I am honored to have the privilege to take them forward. Both companies have outstanding teams of creative and dedicated people who truly deliver innovative display solutions that allow our customers to show off their products,” said Edge.

Instore Design Display, headquartered in Kansas City, is a national leader in the custom display design and manufacturing business. IDD has been designing and selling store fixtures and retail displays for more than 100 years.
