Eight Candles

Mall of America in Minneapolis celebrated its eighth birthday today by announcing that it reached the $860 million mark in sales in 1999. Among its new stores in the last 12 months have been the biggest Banana Republic store in the metropolitan area, J. Crew, Crew Cuts (J. Crew's store for kids), Bose, Aveda, Hugo Boss, Coach and DSW. Coming in 2001 will be a multi-level Gap flagship store.
