Elevated at L&P

Leggett & Platt (Carthage, Mo.) has named Dennis Svatek president of its Edron unit and promoted Scott Carpenter to president of its American Wood Works operation.

Prior to joining Edron, Svatek spent the last 10 years with RHC Spacemaster, which L&P recently acquired for $46 million. Svatek replaces Dave Mueller, who was promoted to president of L&P's Store Fixtures Group in Niles, Ill.

American Wood Works' Carpenter joined L&P in 1999, most recently serving as vp, operations.
