Esprit to Re-enter Canada

Clothing brand Esprit (Düsseldorf, Germany) unveiled plans to re-enter the Canadian retail market by spring 2016. The chain’s previous presence in Canada and the U.S. ended in 2011 when the company pulled out of both markets.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Esprit will launch standalone stores throughout the country in a partnership with Freemark Apparel Brands (Mont-Royal, Quebec). Three initial locations are planned to open this spring and will feature an updated store format, specialized e-commerce and extensive social media usage points. Print and outdoor advertising are also planned for the launch.
