Everyone Doesn't Love Sara Lee

Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (New York) has announced that it will discontinue its licensing agreement with Sara Lee Corp. for the manufacture and distribution of its women's intimate apparel. Sara Lee, which has held the license since 1996, will continue to distribute Polo Ralph Lauren men's underwear. The Polo explanation was that the company was repeating its intent to “focus the Ralph Lauren women's brand onluxury product categories,” according to Doug Williams, group president, global business development, Polo Ralph Lauren.
