Just 12 months after being acquired by Polo Ralph Lauren Corp., burgeoning international retailer Club Monaco (Toronto) has lost two of its top executives. Joseph Mimran, chairman, president and ceo, and Sol Nayman, executive vp and coo, announced their departures. The Club Monaco operations will continue to be supervised by Polo Ralph Lauren president and coo Roger Farah.
The changes came on the dawn of a fall rollout of new stores and new products for the Canadian retailer. It has already opened in Las Vegas'new Desert Passage mall this month, and this week will complete the expansion of its Prince Street, New York, store. In September, it will open a new store on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue (at 55th Street).
Club Monaco currently has 16 U.S. locations, most in prime spots such as Chicago's Michigan Avenue, West Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles'Beverly Center and Beverly Drive, Detroit's Somerset Collection, Washington's Georgetown and San Francisco's San Francisco Centre. It also has stores in Indonesia, Israel and throughout Japan, plus discount stores in Korea.
