Face the Music

Musicland Group Inc. (Minnetonka, Minn.) has promoted Flora Delaney to vp, visual merchandising and space planning.

In her new role, Delaney will be responsible for new store prototypes, in-store environment and promotional graphics packages for the 970 Sam Goody, Media Play and Suncoast retail locations.

“Delaney's blend of experience in consumer electronics and technology, as well as retail and consulting, uniquely qualify her for this important new position,” said Musicland president Mike Madden. “She has the talents to develop visual merchandising strategies that will create an exciting in-store experience for our customers.”

Delaney's 18-year career includes positions in marketing research, category management and visual merchandising with AC Nielsen, Helene Curtis, JDA and Ahold USA. For the past four years, she has served as director of visual merchandising and buying for Musicland.
