Faconnable to Lebanon?

A Lebanese private equity firm is reportedly about to acquire the Faconnable brand of apparel and accessories from Nordstrom Inc. (Seattle).

According to the New York Post, an unnamed company will pay $200 million for the French brand. Nordstrom has not commented on the rumor.

Nordstrom announced in February that it might be looking for a buyer for Faconnable S.A.S. (Nice, France), a collection of high-quality men's and women's apparel and accessories it acquired in 2000. Nordstrom currently operates four Faconnable boutiques in the U.S. and 36 in Europe. The brand is also sold in multi-brand boutiques, department stores and franchised boutiques throughout Europe, the Middle East, Canada and Latin America.
