Fanatics (Jacksonville, Fla.) has opened a new concept store in Los Angeles’ Westfield Century City Mall in partnership with the Paris Saint-Germain soccer club, according to a press release. The location is the first store in North America for the French soccer club also known as PSG.
This is reportedly Fanatic’s most significant deal with a pro sports club, and PSG’s Brand Diversification Director, Fabien Allegre, said interest in focusing on the U.S. market, where soccer is of growing interest, is of importance to the club.
Fanatics has been expanding its e-commerce reach and partnerships, according to CNBC, and recently opened Fanatics China with investment firm Hillhouse Capital. The company anticipates the endeavor will be worth more than $1 billion.
The new Fanatics store sells Paris Saint-Germain apparel as well as LA-inspired clothing through a partnership with Nike and Michael Jordan’s brand.
