Field’s Shop

Marshall Field's, the department store division of Target Corp. (Minneapolis), has announced the addition of yet another boutique in its Chicago flagship store.

Olsen Europe's collection of women's wear is a century-old brand popular in Europe for its collection of elegant but durable clothing. This fall, Olsen Europe is diving into the American market with a new boutique in Field's State Street store.

Olsen Europe has sold select items through smaller, independent American shops, but the Marshall Field's partnership will be much more extensive, with the State Street store featuring the largest showcase of merchandise available in the U.S.

“Olsen Europe's classic quality and European prestige are just the attributes we envision for our State Street reinvention,” said Ralph Hughes, Marshall Field's regional director.

Field's describes the 900 square-foot shop as having “Continental panache, with marble flooring, dark wood and dramatic black and white photos of German actresses.” The boutique will be located on the third floor, in the heart of Marshall Field's ready-to-wear department. It will showcase Olsen's blazers, sweaters, blouses, pants and other wardrobe staples, in prices ranging from $75 for T-shirts to $350 for blazers.
