First Slinky Vagabond Getting Ziggy in New York

Slinky Vagabond, Keanan Duffty's sportswear line named for a line in David Bowie's song, “Young Americans,” recently opened its first retail store in New York. Located on Spring Street in the city's neo-trendy NoLita neighborhood, the shop offers hooded wool coats, t-shirts, drawstring pants and a co-branded footwear line that Duffty designed for Reebok (not to mention a few pieces from Duffty's women's collection).

Nancy Garcia, wife of the designer, runs the store. Duffty's British background is apparent in the clothing design as well as in the store decor. British-themed shirts, printed with the cross of St. George, sell for about $25. English pop and rock music memorabilia placed throughout the store also reflect Duffty's second career as a DJ.
