Foot Locker: $10 Billion in Sales by 2020

At a shareholder meeting Tuesday, executives from specialty athletic retailer Foot Locker (New York) outlined the company’s plans to grow its annual sales from $7.15 billion last year to $10 billion by 2020.

The plan includes a target of $600 in sales per gross square foot, up from $460 in 2014. According to a company statement and Wall Street Journal MarketWatch, Foot Locker plans to capitalize on the enduring “athleisure” trend and expand its apparel, women’s and children’s businesses while also aggressively expanding in Europe.

The company said it is also looking to grow its digital business with more “customer-focused channel connectivity.”
