Foot Locker Redesigns New York Flagship

Foot Locker Inc. (New York) redesigned its New York flagship in Manhattan, which officially opened yesterday.

Even though the store stocks more than 50,000 pairs of shoes, the brand wants to go beyond being known solely as a destination for buying shoes. Consequently, the redesign includes various features to appeal to a broader shopping experience such as a section dedicated to showcasing emerging fashions for women and full sports gear displays.

“Sneakers drive the apparel that goes with it,” says Foot Locker CEO and President Dick Johnson, reports The News-Gazette.

Additionally, the store is also connected to a space next door where the brand can host events and fashion shows. A fashion show highlighting singer Rihanna’s new Fenty collection for Puma will be hosted in the space next month.
