Management Changes:


DMX Music (Los Angeles music, visual imaging and message marketing system provider) has named Mark Rozells president and ceo. Rozells was previously executive vp and coo of Liberty Digital.

Chicago Metallic Corp. (Chicago ceiling systems and specialty products manufacturer) has hired Steve Noeth as regional manager, responsible for coordinating the company's sales team for its Eastern U.S. region.

Diam Intl. (Woodside, N.Y., retail merchandising solutions provider) has named John Kramer to the new position of evp, strategic planning and finance.


Business Briefs:


Premier Retail Networks (PRN, San Francisco in-store media network) has partnered with the NBC Agency (Burbank, Calif., advertising agency for all NBC-owned entities) on a high-definition TV information campaign that will run in Best Buy, Circuit City and Sears stores across the U.S. The campaign, designed to educate consumers about the benefits of HDTV, will also promote NBC's fall programs by offering a side-by-side comparison of shows running on high-definition and analog TV screens.

Swingframe Inc. (Rockville Centre, N.Y., frame and display systems manufacturer) has opened a new online division, Swingpanels.com, which offers multipurpose displayers incorporating framed pages that turn and allow the presentation of numerous printed materials and small, thin merchandise.

Esther & Co. (Grand Rapids, Mich., upscale shoe store for women) will open an 1800-square-foot store in September 2003 in Terrazzo, a European-inspired retail center in Grand Rapids.

Rose Displays (Salem, Mass., in-store signware provider) has redesigned and updated its web site, www.rosedisplays.com, to include a new graphic look, expanded content and enhanced navigational features.

Columbus Showcase Co. (Columbus, Ohio, showcase manufacturer) has donated a custom showcase for Ohio State University to display the national championship trophy won by the school's 2002 football team. The case is at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on the OSU campus.


Awards & Competitions:


Transformit (Gorham, Maine, tension-fabric structure designer, manufacturer and renter) contributed to five exhibits at the recent Exhibitor Show '03, including the Exhibitgroup/Giltspur display that won “Best of Show” honors. Transformit components were also used in exhibits by Abex Display Systems, Hamilton Exhibits, Heritage Exhibits and the company's own exhibit.

Advance Transformer Co. (Rosemont, Ill., lighting ballast manufacturer) was named Supplier of the Year for the second straight year by W.W. Grainger Inc. (Chicago-based industrial products distributor). Advance Transformer also won a Grainger 2002 Customer Focused Quality 1 Award.
