Management Changes:


Leggett & Platt (Carthage, Mo., fixture manufacturer) has hired Bob Hays as executive vp of its Fixture Display Group. Hays most recently served as coo of Ready Metal Mfg. Leggett & Platt also announced that Karin Pryor, vp, marketing for its Niles, Ill.-based Store Fixtures Group, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM).

Chute Gerdeman (Columbus, Ohio, retail design firm) has added three new staff members: Bess Anderson, director; Jim Couch, account director; and Chad Witzel, graphic designer.

Goody's Family Clothing Inc. (Knoxville, Tenn., retailer of moderately priced family apparel) has promoted Rosalind Parneix to senior vp, general merchandise manager women's.

InteliCoat Technologies (South Hadley, Mass., manufacturer of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for imaging and electronic technologies) has realigned its sales territories into smaller geographical areas and made the following appointments: Gary Titus, sales director; Kenneth Wagner, national accounts manager; Peter Gregory, Pacific Northwest regional manager; Sandra Manzi, Western regional manager; Steve Mercer, Mid South regional manager; Gary Teliszczak, Midwest regional manager; Tom Doyle, Northeast regional manager; Jim Goodman, Mid-Atlantic regional manager; Dale Ward, Southeast regional manager; Jim Wenzel, inside sales manager; and Skip McLain, inside sales national accounts manager.

SoundTube Entertainment (Park City, Utah, manufacturer of speaker systems) has hired Duke Ducoff as director of sales.

Chippenhook Corp. (Flower Mound, Texas, provider of visual and p-o-p displays, store fixturing and packaging for retailers) has acquired Designers Group Intl. (North Stonnington, Conn., manufacturer of visual merchandising products).

Business Briefs:


ScentAir Technologies (Santa Barbara, Calif., provider of scent systems for retail settings) has signed an agreement to install its systems in the floral and produce departments of 75 BI-LO grocery stores.

RPA (Columbus, Ohio, retail design firm) has upgraded its web site, adding information on industry trends, retail news, expert retail perspectives and innovations in retail strategy and design. The upgrades were created by 23 Windows, RPA's interactive division. The company's web site is www.rpaworldwide.com.

W.A.C. Lighting (Garden City, N.Y., manufacturer of track, recessed and undercabinet lighting) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2004. To help mark that milestone, the company plans to introduce more new products in 2004 than it has released in any previous one-year period.
