Management Changes:


Desgrippes Gobe Group (New York design and brand consultancy) has promoted Sharon Osen to principal and vp, brand strategy.

TJ Hale (Menomonee Falls, Wis., fixture manufacturer) has hired Tom Keen as a sales representative. Keen, a 20-year fixture industry veteran, was previously president of HGA Products.

Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design (New York lighting firm) has hired the following designers: Shoshanna Segal and Steven Espinoza in its New York office and Josie Lawrence in its San Francisco office.

TPG Architecture (New York architecture and interior design firm) announces the following promotions in its New York office, except where noted: Andrew Ciarnello, Cesar Cordero, Marina Kosmopoulos, Yin Yu, David Okulicz, Paul Johnson, Wayne Cohen, Carmelo Mazzaferro, Gabe Sarmiento (Melville, N.Y.), Ed Galeano (Greenwich, Conn.) and Simon Newton (London) to associates; Marek Mastaj (London), Larry Archer, Doris Almanza, Cathy Chaffe, Milosh Sekulich, Hiram Coubertier, Amy Weisman and Jesse Lim (Greenwich, Conn.) to senior associates; and Inga Kruliene, Nelson Mejia and Louis Trudel (London) to associate principals.

Roland DGA Corp. (Irvine, Calif., digital technology and graphics company) has promoted Rick Rivera to associate product manager-rotary devices and appointed Beth Morris marketing assistant.


Business Briefs:


Convergent Media Systems Corp. (Atlanta digital signage company) and Sony Business Solutions Systems Co. (Park Ridge, N.J., digital signage company) have signed an agreement to jointly market their products and services to retail, corporate and government end-users.

Ultimate Technology (Victor, N.Y., provider of point-of-sale systems) has designated Getronics (Amsterdam information and communications technology company) as its national provider of on-site installation and support services. Also, Ultimate Technology announced its p-o-s systems will be installed in stores operated by CSK Auto Inc. and the Darice Corp.

GroupRed LLC (New York retail design and consulting firm) has been hired to devise and execute strategies to upgrade Statoil Detaljhandel Skandanavia's 208 ICA Express and 180 Statoil Boutiques convenience stores in Scandinavia.

The DeBartolo Property Group (Tampa, Fla., real estate developer) announced that construction has started on the 68,840-square-foot Plantation Plaza in Jacksonville, Fla. A Publix Super Market will anchor the $10.5 million shopping center.

GELcore LLC (Valley View, Ohio, lighting manufacturer) announced that its GE Tetra LED cove lighting has been installed in the expanded board and meeting rooms at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas.

Team Management Inc. (Columbus, Ohio, store fixture and display installer) has been named vendor of the year for 2003 by the store planning and transformation department of JoAnn Stores Inc.
