Mergers and Acquisitions

Meisel Visual Imaging (Dallas digital graphics provider) has purchased the San Francisco and Portland, Ore., operations of PhotoBition Inc. from PhotoBition PLC (London photographic and graphics provider). The acquisition expands Meisel's ability to produce large-scale and point-of-purchase graphics for national brands and emerging retailers.

New Stores/Contracts:

The Echeverria Design Group(Coral Gables, Fla., design firm) has been hired by Federated Department Stores (Cincinnati retailer) to provide architectural planning, interior design and documentation services for the recently standardized “Juniors Reinvent” departments at the Burdines stores in Orlando and Tampa, Fla.

Management Changes:

North American Light Spectrum (Danbury, Conn., lighting distributor) has named Frank Fitzgerald partner and president. Fitzgerald is a veteran of the commercial and residential lighting fixtures industry, having previously worked for Luxo Corp. and Luceplan USA.

Modul USA Inc. (Puyallup, Wash., exhibition and retail component manufacturer) has hired Dieter Friton as vp of sales for the United States.
