Management Changes:

Carter & Burgess (Fort Worth, Texas, full-service consulting firm) has added three new group managers: Jerry Hazelwood, Cleveland office; Chris Brim, Columbus, Ohio office; and Jack Kibort, Indianapolis office.

Hermes Abrasives Ltd. (Virginia Beach, Va., abrasive products manufacturer) has promoted Randy Stickley to president, following the retirement of David Potter. Stickley joined the company in 1993 as financial controller and was most recently vp, finance.

Sam Pievac Co. (Santa Fe Springs, Calif., store fixture and p-o-p display manufacturer) has appointed Mark DePaolo as regional sales manager for the company's East Coast and Midwest clients. Prior to joining Sam Pievac, DePaolo was national sales manager for store fixtures with United Steel & Wire.

Vizwerks Inc. (Portland, Ore., retail design firm) has hired Lucynda Boogaard as a graphic designer. She most recently served as art director for aura science in New York.

Hilco Industrial LLC (Northbrook, Ill., asset management company) has appointed Fred Caruso president.

A. Geo. Diack Inc. (City of Industry, Calif., fixture manufacturer) is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The company was founded by George Diack.

Dynamic Graphics (Peoria, Ill., creative services company) is now offering the Pantone line of color products through its Creatas Web site (www.creatas.com), a resource for licensing royalty-free products, including images, motion and illustration.

Permlight (Tustin, Calif., LED lighting manufacturer) has added Neon Engineering (Cincinnati sign industry distribution company) as a franchised distributor for its lighting system and power supply products lines.

Awards & Competitions:

Rose Display Ltd. (Salem, Mass., manufacturer and supplier of retail signware) has announced the winners of its 2002 Design Award Scholarships. The winners, Amy Barnes, a student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles, and Semira Huang, a student at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, each received $1000 scholarships for their award-winning in-store designs for a hypothetical retailer.
