(Garden City, N.Y., lighting designer and manufacturer) has appointed Christopher Verone sales manager, western regional territory.

Benchmark (Cincinnati design firm) has hired Bill Kapcar as director, new business development.

Fitch (Columbus, Ohio, design consultancy) has named Mark Miller a studio director at its Columbus office and Bryan Gailey creative director of its New York studio creative team.

Best Tile Distributors of New England (Ludlow, Mass., importer of ceramic tile and stone) has appointed Joe McGovern commercial sales manager at its Woburn, Mass., facility.

TCP Inc. (Aurora, Ohio, manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting products) has hired the following: Peter Weller, director of consumer sales; Maureen Nemanich, manager of consumer marketing; Shaun Gray-Steele, regional sales manager; and Kelly Tranum, sales analyst.

Carlisle SynTec (Carlisle, Pa., manufacturer of single-ply roofing systems) has promoted Rudy Gutierrez to southwest regional manager.

 

Store Opening:

Tommy Bahama, the Seattle-based upscale island-inspired men’s and women’s clothing brand, will open its first 2000-square-foot Relax retail store, showcasing its weekend-oriented collections in Naples, Fla., in early April.

 

Business Brief:

Gabler • Youngston (Atlanta architectural lighting design firm) designed the energy-efficient lighting program for Allsteel’s 12,600-square-foot showroom in Boston that has achieved a LEED-CI gold certification.
