Management Changes:

Callison Architecture (Seattle) announced that Sandie Pope has rejoined the firm as associate principal with its retail design team. Pope had a brief stint with NBBJ (Seattle) as retail director before returning to Callison.

Davaco Inc. (Dallas) has hired Shelly Vandeven as vp, marketing. Vandeven is responsible for all strategic marketing for business development, industry and corporate marketing initiatives, including customer programs, advertising and public relations.


Business Briefs:

Tellepsen Builders (Houston, construction company) has been awarded contracts for ALORE III, IV and V, a leisure-oriented entertainment destination; Cypress Towne Center, a 200,000-square-foot development; and Adren-L-N Extreme Sports Center.


Awards:

Mannington Commercial (Calhoun, Ga.) was awarded a 2004 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design for its Variations natural random patterned carpet.

ActiveLight (Poulsbo, Wash.) announced the winners of its 2005 DIGI Awards, presented at the NSCA Systems Integration Expo in Orlando. Among the winning retail installations were: Under five screens: Advanced Method for Seattle Design Center, interactive building directories and wayfinding information; Six to 25 screens: Microspace Communications Corp. and Helius Inc. for Flagstar Bank, real-time marketing, training and corporate communication content to retail and banking locations via satellite; OpenEye Displays for Regency Duty Free Shops, displays driving sales and increasing consumer awareness of promotions in airport duty-free shops; and More than 25 screens: Mercury Online Solutions for SunTrust Corp., five-channel program to engage and reach customers.
