Management Changes:

MBH Architects (Alameda, Calif., retail, hospitality, restaurant and commercial architecture firm) has hired the following: April Chu, project manager; Reena Nadkarni, job captain; and Stephanie Sunseri and Ester Clark, drafters. The firm’s Newport Beach, Calif., office has hired Maryam Pfeiffer, senior designer.

PPG (Pittsburgh supplier of coatings, chemicals, optical products, glass and fiber glass) has named Patrick Kenny general manager, corporate marketing and construction markets.

 

Business Brief:

USG Corp. (Chicago manufacturer and distributor of building systems) has launched www.sustainableceilings.com, which contains information on sustainability and its reformulated formaldehyde-free ceiling panels.

 

Awards:

(Coral Gables, Fla., interior architecture, space planning and design services firm) was awarded top honors for its Serta Bedding Las Vegas showroom and Bellanotte, a Minneapolis-based Italian restaurant, in a design competition sponsored by the Florida chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

Architectural Group Intl. (AGI) (Covington, Ky., architecture firm) received a preservation award from the Cincinnati Preservation Association for using green building methods to renovate a former Sears, Roebuck & Co. store into its new offices.
