Fred Segal Closing Santa Monica Flagship

Fred Segal (Santa Monica, Calif.) has plans to close its Santa Monica, Calif., location this week. The retailer will heavily discount the store’s merchandise until the store officially closes by the end of the month. This location has been in operation since 1985.

Sandow (Boca Raton, Fla.) owns the brand and has told Haute Living that it plans to open a third Fred Segal shop in LA to replace the Santa Monica closure, though an exact date or location has not been specified. The retailer does have plans to open a new store later this year in Playa Vista, Calif., in time for the holiday shopping season.
