Fresh & Easy Debuts in Bay Area

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market (El Segundo, Calif.) has opened its first two stores in northern California, in San Jose and Danville. The grocery chain, which made its debut in 2007 in Southern California, says it plans to open more than a dozen stores in the San Francisco region this year. A unit of U.K.-based Tesco, Fresh & Easy now has more than 160 stores in California, Arizona and Nevada.
