Game Group to Close 277 Stores

The Game Group plc (Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K.) has announced that it will shutter 277 of 560 retail locations in the U.K. and Ireland, according to BBC News. The specialty video-game retailer is administered by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is currently seeking a buyer for the business. The company has suffered from competition online and profit losses in recent years.
