Gap Replaces Division Execs

Incoming Gap Inc. (San Francisco) ceo Art Peck announced new top executives at its Gap and Banana Republic businesses last Thursday.

Jeff Kirwan, president of greater China for Gap Inc., will become global president for Gap in December, succeeding Stephen Sunnucks. Andi Owen, currently head of the Gap Outlet division, will assume the post of global president, Banana Republic in January. She succeeds Jack Calhoun, who led the brand for eight years.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the appointments are a response to lackluster performance from the Gap and Banana Republic brands. In a recent conference call with investors, Peck said he was “impatient” to assemble a new team before 2015.
