Good For the Skin

The Body Shop (Littlehampton, England), a personal care retailer, andSenetek PLC, the Napa, Calif. biopharmaceutical company, announced thelaunch of “skin re-leaf,” featuring Senetek's Kinetin.

This new line of products includes a 24-hour treatment lotion, daily eyetreatment, illuminating face and eye treatments and a protective handtreatment. In addition, the company plans to add a new daily lotion withSPF to the product line sometime in 2002.

Senetek's Kinetin is known for having good-to-excellent results intreating signs of skin damage and promoting the appearance of healthyskin. A spokesperson for The Body Shop explained the “sampling program”combined with a brochure explaining and pointing out the benefits ofproducts containing Kinetin. So far, The Body Shop's customer base hasresponded favorably to the new line, and an early reordering has alreadytaken place.
