Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (Bentonville, Ark.) will open another environmentally sustainable experimental store tomorrow in Aurora, Colo.

Key experiments of the store include: an environmentally friendly gas station; wind energy; solar energy experiments; porous pavement and new storm-water run-off controls; use of recycled product from Stapleton airport in foundation and monument signs; tall grass prairie; waste oil boilers that burn used motor oil and vegetable oil from frying chicken; snow melt and radiant floor heating systems; fabric duct system; and waterless urinals.
