Hail to the Chiefs

ALU (New York) and Leggett & Platt (Carthage, Mo.), two of the leaders in fixture and visual merchandising design and manufacturing, have new presidents.

Terry Schultz, vp of operations for Leggett & Platt's Store Fixtures Group, has been promoted to president of the Niles, Ill.-based division. In his new role, Schultz will report directly to Bob Griffin, senior vp of the manufacturing company and president of its fixture and display group.

Currently, the Store Fixtures Group is made up of 17 branches specializing in retail fixturing for one or more market segments. As vp of operations, Schultz was responsible for all operational facets of the Fixtures business. Bob David, the previous Store Fixtures Group president, will now assume responsibilities within the POP and Van Fixture Unit (CVP).

And ALU has chosen former Reebok International executive Robert Rosean as its new president. Erwin Winkler has moved to executive creative director worldwide. Rosean was most recently vp of marketing and sales for Reebok's Golf Division, where He was responsible for the management and organization of department store channel selling and in-store merchandising. Prior to that, Rosean was divisional vp of business development and licensing at Coach. He was with Sara Lee Corp. (the parent company of Coach) for 15 years, at one point as senior manager of strategic and retail planning.
