Heading Kmart Stores

Kmart Holding Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has named Donald Germano senior vp and general manager for Kmart’s more than 1400 stores and Dene Rogers as executive vp, restructuring and business improvement.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corp. said Germano will be responsible for the financial performance, operations and management of all of Kmart’s stores and report directly to president and ceo Aylwin Lewis. Germano previously served as vp of inventory management and replenishment.

Rogers, previously executive vp of Kmart stores, will report to William Crowley, executive vp, cfo and administrative officer.

Germano joined Kmart in 2001 as divisional vp, supply chain, and has held increasingly responsible positions within Kmart’s supply chain organization. Rogers joined Kmart in 2003 and served in a variety of roles before assuming the position of senior vp, stores, in 2004. Before joining Kmart, Rogers was senior vp, planning, development and new products for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (White Plains, N.Y.).
