Heading Neiman’s Fashion

Neiman Marcus Stores Inc. (Dallas) has named Ken Downing senior vp, fashion director. In his new role, Downing will manage the retailer’s New York fashion office, reporting to Ann Stordahl, executive vp, women's apparel.

Downing had been vp, public relations, since 1997. He joined Neiman Marcus in 1990, in the visual merchandising department of the Beverly Hills, Calif., store. In 1992, he was named the store’s visual manager, and was subsequently promoted to director of visual planning and presentation for all stores.
