Highs and Lowe’s

Under a succession plan adopted by Lowe’s Companies Inc. (Mooresville, N.C.) in April 2004, company president Robert Niblock has assumed the additional roles of chairman and ceo.

He replaces Robert Tillman, who announced his plans to retire at the end of Lowe’s 2004 fiscal year.

Niblock has served as chairman and ceo-elect and as a member of the board of directors since April 5, 2004.

Lowe’s directors appointed Robert Johnson to the board to serve the remainder of Tillman’s unexpired term. Johnson is the founder, chairman and ceo of Black Entertainment Television Inc. (Washington, D.C.) and the majority owner of the pro basketball Charlotte Bobcats.
