H&M Expanding Footwear Line

Hennes & Mauritz AB (Stockholm) announced last week that it would expand H&M’s shoe collections this fall. Broader footwear lines will be offered in the women’s, men’s, and youth categories. The lines will be launched in select H&M stores in nine countries, including the U.S., U.K., China and Sweden, as well as online. In a financial statement, Karl-Johan Persson, ceo, said, “We will launch and extended and improved shoe range…The new shoe concept will offer a variety of models in different price categories.”

The company also announced the expansion and broader distribution of its active wear line, H&M Sport. The extended range is available in around 50 stores, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
