H&M (Stockholm, Sweden) will be launching its first Fashion Recycling Week at the end of August. In anticipation, the retailer will invite customers to donate any of their unwanted, used clothing. Garments collected from the drive will be used to create one-of-a-kind window installations that will be showcased in store windows throughout England and Ireland.
The clothing collection drive will run from Sept. 2-5, and customers can donate items at the Covent Garden Piazza in London.
The retailer is collaborating with students from London College of Fashion’s Center for Sustainable Fashion to create the displays, which will be on showcase in stores in eight cities including Dublin and London, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
Fashion Recycling Week will take place from Aug. 31 through Sept. 6.
