H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB (Stockholm) has announced plans to open its first store in India later this year.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that the expanding fast fashion retailer will also enter the Australian and Philippines markets. It plans to open about 375 stores this year, with new flagships set for New York, Milan and Shanghai. It has also talked about Russia, Germany, Italy and Poland.

H&M is looking at several locations, but has yet to choose the city for its first India location.

“We are very excited to open our first store in India,” said ceo Karl-Johan Persson. “It is one of the most exciting countries in the world right now, with so much potential.”
