H&M Plans 400 New Stores for 2015

Hennes & Mauritz AB (Stockholm) plans to open 400 new brick-and-mortar stores this year and to continue expanding in existing markets, especially the U.S. and China.

The company will also open its first stores in Taiwan, Peru, Macau, South Africa and India.

H&M, which opened 379 stores in 2014, is in the midst of an aggressive growth period. The company’s expansion target is to increase its number of stores by 10 to 15 percent each year.

The company currently offers six different brands and operates 3500 stores.
